Actions

In keeping with our All Custom – All The Time philosophy, Kilimanjaro will build your rifle on virtually any commercially available or customer provided action.  Each of our rifle models starts with a standard action, but you may select any action you desire.

For the Kilimanjaro Rifle, we utilize a modified and improved version of the Sako 85 action as standard because of the excellent success we had with it in our R&D program.  Once we have refined it and added a superior recoil resistance system, it provides an elegant and highly dependable action with smooth, quiet bolt travel, reliable feed, a relatively short angle of bolt lift, a secure but detachable magazine allowing for instant unloading and loading, and partial controlled round feed.  Our version of the Sako 85 excels in virtually all chamberings.

For the Serengeti Rifle, the Serengeti action is standard.  Available in both right-hand and left-hand versions, the Serengeti actions provides a blend of the best of the Mauser ’98, Winchester Pre-’64 and Sako actions.  It is based on the Montana 1999 action which Serengeti founder Rod Rogers helped design, but the Serengeti version features extensive refinement and machining to provide an action of exceptional smoothness and reliability.  Featuring full controlled round feed, a full-length claw extractor, three-position bolt-mounted safety, and a Sako style bolt release, the Serengeti action is the perfect big game action, and with multiple action sizes, is excellent for smaller chambering as well.

Our Jaguar Rifle features a special version of the Stiller Predator Action, made for us by Viper Actions.  A Remington-style push-feed design, it provides us with a superb platform for the Jaguar tactical hunting rifle.

On each of these rifles, however, you have your choice of the Sako 85, Weatherby Mark V, Kimber, Stiller Predator, Serengeti, Dakota, Satterlee, Remington, Winchester, or any other commercially available or customer provided actions.
